She's still going strong!
Here's her latest E-mail. Enjoy guys!
Hey momma
so much has happened
we have been teaching that lesbian couple and when we taught them this week they asked what they would needed to do to be worthy to be baptized!!!! Then she told us that she went to the church building and just sat in the parking lot.
They are so ready! They are just really scared of being judged by others. They are also sruggling with having to change their lifestyle. Please pray for them and that others don't judge them.
When we talked to them about the Law of chastity they both broke down into tears they realized that because they know it is true they are going to have to change their life.
We also went to a wedding in their family on saturday. it was awesome! I will send pictures. They were so happy that we cared about them and that we came to support them. Teresa, one of the investigators told us that she would come to church!! We are so excited!
We are getting new investigators all the time it is really cool.
It is amazing how the Lord is blessing us all the time
Oh we asked the new couple Kristen and Tommy about being baptized and they said that as soon as they know they will be baptized. Tommy has been through a lot of stuff and he doesn't open up to a lot of people but he really opened up to us this past week and it was amazing we really felt the spirit.

Onward towards Arkansas
So look how cute Carrie is with her Mission President and his wife!
Here are her and her traveling companions with them as well.
Here's a couple of e-mails from Carrie's first week.
I am so greatful to be here and I love the work. I am so spiritualy exhausted and it is awesome. Oh and let me explain the lesbian thing. This girls name is Erica and she lives with her mom who is also a lesbian and we are teaching all of them and they believe the joseph smith story and they know the Book of Mormon is true we are working with the Law of Chastity and their life style but I have faith that they will be baptised please pray for them. But she was filmed by MTV because she preforms as a man in a strip bar in the bible belt and they wanted to know how people responded to her. She told them that she was meeting with us and showed them the Book of Mormon that we gave her. So I got a shout out on MTV how cool is that. That gives you a reason to watch MTV right? Okay so here is my address instead of themission office and you can put it in the church bulletin etc... 108 Maplewood Dr. Hot Springs AR, 71931 Love you
She was still on-line when her Mom responded so we got another one! Yay!
yes I am in a car... I just talked to the mission mom she said that my trainer has said so many good things about me that I will probably be traning next transfer!!!!!! no pressure right haha
I just sent this to the president so I copied it to you!
Hello all! So Carrie enjoyed the MTC a ton! Here's some pictures from the day she went in.
Here we are driving to the MTC. She was so nervous! It was quite adorable.
Since we just had to drop her off, we all parked on the street and took pictures and said our goodbyes.
Here is Carrie's first letter to her Mom.
Hey Momma!
I bought a tape recorder today so I decided that I would tell you things since apparently I am really bad at this whole e-mail thing... I have basically no time when I am e-mailing here at the MTC for P-day so I am just going to send you things and then you can forward them. It takes too long to put in all the e-mail addresses. So this week has been amazing. I am really enjoying teaching the investigators here and so far I have been teaching two real live investigators. Most of them are actors that volunteer but we have had real people. It has been so exciting!!! I wish that I could express through an e-mail the spirit that I feel here. Sometimes it just punches you in the gut out of no where haha! I got my travel plans and we will be leaving the MTC next Tuesday at 4 am!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Crap... apparently they have not met me haha, just kidding it will be fine. They also assigned me as the travel leader so that should be fun! Oh I can't believe I almost forgot to tell you... Richard G. Scott came and talked to us for our devotional last week. it was amazing! I really enjoyed his spirit. He talked about how proud he was of us and our decision to serve a mission. The power in that room during his talk was amazing. We sang called to serve and armies of Helaman. Hearing the entire MTC sing those two songs was the coolest thing I have ever experienced. We also during one of our classes listened to a talk by Elder Holland and it changed my life... I know that I am going to Little Rock for a reason and that Heavenly Father knows me by name and blesses me every minute of everyday! I know that being on a mission is the best thing for me and I would not take that decision back for a million dollars.
So here is the scoop on my dictrict. Basically, I love them. The elders are too sweet and well.... 19 year old boys . They make me laugh and I enjoy having fun with them. Let's just say I am not a stuffy sister missionary! We have taken lots of pictures when I get a chance I will print them and send them. How is Josh doing? I wrote him a letter but have not heard back. Let him know I am thinking about him.
Singles ward- I love them all and I am grateful for their support. I want them to know that the gospel is true and somtimes things really stink but through our Savior Jesus Christ "All is Well". I miss them and I wish everyone the best. Give love to Bishop, Momma Pete, Sis. Dierkens and I guess that sweet husband of hers too, Sis Stanley and Bro. Stanley and the Steens!!!
I am so glad to hear that TOFW went well. I love those women and I am so glad that you were able to spend time with them! Tell all of them I love them and it was a blessing to have called you when you were all together! It made my day! Don't feel bad that I was upset it did not last long, those feelings never last long here at the MTC haha. I love my Aunt Betty and Uncle Doug tell them hello for me and lots of hugs! I am so glad MawMaw is venturing to the outside world:) :) I love her and I want you to give her hugs and kisses for me every night before bed and tell her I love her. Send the book that she is recording, don't forget my boots etc... I think I am pretty good on everything else.... I am glad you cleaned up that room though it was about time you clean up your mess hahahahahahaha. I told the sisters I am with about how you said if I needed anything to let you know but you didn't know how I would need any more because I more than anyone... they thought that was funny. They have me pegged already haha.
Ok so I know that this e-mail probably needs lots of editing so before you embarass me please edit it for me before showing to people haha. Give my love to everyone, studio, church, family!
I know the church is true I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ blesses families and I know that my Heavenly Father is blessing those that I love right now! I know Jesus is the Christ I know God lives. I know that the restored gospel is on the earth today. I am grateful for trials and hard times because I have learned so much about Christ's atonment in those moments than I ever could have. I know that I will never be alone and that through my Savior I can be healed and uplifted! I am learning so much and I couldn't be more excited to get to the field. What a marvelous work and a wonder! I am so privleged to be apart of this great work! "Every soul is great in the sight of God!"
I love you bunches and bunches
Sister Cag Gladden
